On August 2nd, 2016, the second board meeting of the Chinese Society of Energy Economics and Management (CSEEM) was held at North China Electri Power University in Beijing. More than 100 experts and scholars from more than 50 units of the national energy economy and management academy attended the meeting.

Firstly, Professor Yi-Ming Wei, who is the dean of School of Economics and Management of Beijing Institute of Technology and the first President of the CSEEM, reviewed and summarized the work of the First Council, and proposed the recommendations for future development of the council.

Secondly, Deputy Secretary-General of the first session of the council Zhou Peng, who is a professor from Nanjing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics, reported on the preparations of the seventh annual conference of the energy economy and management which would be held in Nanjing.

Thirdly, Deputy Secretary-General of the first session of the council Professor Liao Hua from School of Management and Economics of Beijing Institute of Technology, introduced the preparatory work for the second board meeting.

Finally, the second council members including members, executive directors, deputy secretariesgeneral, secretary-general, vicepresidents, and president of the board were elected by secret ballot in accordance with the general election procedures of the Council.

The new council members demonstrated that they would strive to make the Chinese Society of Energy Economics and Management as a domestic academic platform with a wide range of influence.
